October is an eventful month for me because it’s not only Halloween month, but my birthday is in October! So naturally I hauled here and there, making this months “Favorites” review exciting for me!
So to start off my favorites list, I’ll start off with what every MAC enthusiast waited and woke up at the crack og dawn for:
My favorite lipstick from the entire collection! It’s not patchy and the color (although a brown-taupe color) doesn’t flush me out and make me look sickly. It’s creamy, and the color is pretty long lasting. I’d recommend this to everyone!
I love this highlight cream! I am so upset that I was only allowed one purchase of this because I’ve used it almost daily since I purchased it. The color is sheer, but still is pigmented enough to show that shimmer on your cheek bones, brow bone, Cupid’s bow, and anywhere else you decide to highlight! It’s significantly larger than the standard cream color bases, so I’m hoping this lasts me while.
I love, love, love, loooooooove this brush! It serves so many purposes, doesn’t shed and super affordable! I purchased this at the Morphe Cosmetics booth at the LA County Fair and used it quite a bit in October. I mainly use it for buffing out my foundation, evening it out, but I also use it for loose powder and occasionally as a blush brush. I don’t know how I was able to work without this brush!
I’ve only used one blush from NARS before (and it wasn’t really a blush; I have the Albatross highlight powder blush) so this was the perfect way for me to try out other shades without making my bank account angry. What i love is that the bronzer is a matte bronzer and doesn’t have all the shimmer most have making it perfect for contour! It’s perfect for my kit because it includes colors that suit all skin shades!
I received this sample in October’s Ipsy Glam Bag and I actually really enjoy it! I never really wanted to try it initially because the brush was a bit intimidating. I am so glad I gave this a shot because I’ve gotten a few compliments on my lashes WITHOUT falsies! I usually use Lancome’s Hypnose Star, but am definitely switching over once this sample is finished with.
