May has come and gone, and so many products really impressed me! So without further hesitation, here are my favorite items from the month!
URAN DECAY: ELECTRIC PALETTE
Urban Decay is probably my favorite brand for eyeshadows, and they definitely didn’t disappoint as they released a palette full of bright, funky and electric colors. The pigmentation of these shadows are through the roof, and I’m a tad disappointed they’re not available in their single pots. It’s become my favorite and my go to for bright and fun looks. Definitely will miss this once I hit pan!
INGLOT: #77 EYELINER GEL
I’ve tried MULTIPLE brands for black eyeliner. From Mac, Bobbie Brown, down to Maybelline. This has thrown all other gel liners out of the water. Is creamy, glides on smoothly, and is more black than the standard jet black liner at any makeup cointer inside Nordstrom pr Bloomingdale’s. I’m just upset I hadn’t tried this sooner!
ELF COSMETICS: LOCK & SEAL
I absolutely love this product. I think I’ve raved about it before in the past. It’s just that good. It’s a clear liquid, and a few drops go a long way. Great for using powder eyeshadows as eyeliner and for setting glitter and loose pigments. The staying power is beyond what I had expected for a drug store brand. Best part is: it’s only $3.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS: DIP BROW IN “CHOCOLATE”
I always used Mac’s fluidline in Dipdown, but wasn’t so fond of it just because of the fact there wasn’t a wide variety of shades to choose from. It felt like it was very “Take it, or leave it.” When Anastasia announced the new “Dip Brow” line (which yes, I thought it was also eerily similar to dip down,) I had to try it. I really love this product. Comes in multiple shades, is smudge proof, and I can go swimming without having to worry about having my eye brows going missing. I can also go as light or as dark as I like using this product. Out of all of them, the shade Chocolate has to be my favorite.
MAC COSMETICS: EXTRA DIMENSION BRONZER IN “DELFIC” (L.E.)
Mac is always a roller-coaster ride for me. Sometimes I’ll love them, sometimes I’ll hate them (like my last Proenza review.) This time I love them. The bronzer I will admit won’t work for everyone, but I LOVE it for my “NC40” skin tone. It’s not too brown or too orange, and gives just the right amount of shimmer. Gives the right amount of color payoff, but is also buildable. Perfect for summer looks!
HOUSE OF LASHES: “SIREN”
This company never lets me down, and have some of my favorite lashes. Their Siren lashes have been the ones I found myself reaching for recently for my everyday looks. They’re very similar to my Mac #35 lashes, but at half the cost (literally.) I always get compliments wearing these, and if taken care of they’ll have a good 5+ uses. House Of Lashes also has my favorite lash glue (pictured) that I use to adhere all my lashes. So I can be fun and flirty throughout my work day, and afterwards!
